The tournaments serve as "luxury" training for the World Cup for specialists, which will be held starting on the 20th in Cottbus, Germany. In the competition, the last of 2018, the Brazilian women's team will also consist of Lorrane Dos Santos and Rebeca Andrade, as well as Jade and Flavia, all athletes from Mais Querido. 

With Olympic participation and veteran status, despite her youth, Flavinha will be competing in the Swiss Cup for the first time. The traditional tournament is contested by just one athlete from each country, competing in pairs. Flavia will represent Brazil alongside Arthur Nory, while Jade was called up to the Pan American Team and will compete with Canadian Cory Paterson.

"The competition is for pairs and has stages. You compete in the first competition, and if you and your partner pass, you move on to the next. There are two apparatuses, and if you qualify, you compete a third time, allowing you to repeat an event or compete in another," explained Flavinha. "That's the cool thing: you depend on your partner to do well. I'm very happy and hope we perform well."

While Jade Barbosa and Flavia Saraiva are in the tournaments, the red-blacks Lorrane Dos Santos and Rebeca Andrade are participating in an international training camp, also in Switzerland.
