Flávia Saraiva wins gold at the South American Games in Cochabamba
Jade Barbosa won the silver medal in a red-black double on the podium
By Helena Petry - inThe red-and-black gymnasts continue to shine at the South American Games in Cochabamba, Bolivia. After helping Brazil win three medals on the first day of artistic gymnastics finals, Flávia Saraiva and Jade Barbosa were back on the podium this Tuesday (29), with gold and silver, respectively.
On the uneven bars, Flavinha secured the title with 13,950 points, while Jade, with 13,600, took second place. With this result, the Brazilian women's team's medal count rises to six. On Monday (28), Brazil won gold in the team final, Flávia took silver in the all around and Jade, bronze.
The red-blacks will be in action once again this Wednesday (30), starting at 16 pm (Brasília time) for the balance beam finals. This afternoon's competitions close the competition calendar for the sport.
