Flávia Saraiva is silver at the Trofeo Città di Jesolo
The red-black gymnast did very well on the floor at the tournament in Italy
By Mariana Sa - inA powerhouse in artistic gymnastics, Flamengo had two representatives at the Trofeo Città di Jesolo in Italy, which took place last weekend (April 14 and 15.04). With a strong collective performance, the Brazilian Adult Team finished second overall and had a silver medal from Flávia Saraiva on the floor.
Brazil was represented by four gymnasts, including Flavinha and Jade Barbosa. The country scored 159.370 points in the team competition and lost only to Russia in the overall standings.
On Saturday, Jade scored 53.766 points in the individual all-around (14.330 on vault, 13.200 on uneven, 13.230 on balance beam and 13.000 on floor) and finished in sixth place. Flávia Saraiva had 53.466 total points (14.470 on vault, 12.630 on uneven, 12.630 on balance beam and 13.730 on floor) and finished in eighth place.

On Sunday, Flavinha shone in the apparatus final. Thanks to her strong performance on the floor, the red-and-black athlete scored 13.900 and secured silver. Jade Barbosa also competed for medals, finishing sixth on the uneven bars (13.533) and fourth on the balance beam (12.867).
The artistic gymnastics teams of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo rely on resources from their sponsors – AmBev, Rede D'or, IRB Brasil RE, CSN, Brasil Plural, EY – via the Federal Incentive Law/Ministry of Sports (IR), in addition to support from the Brazilian Committee of Clubs (CBC) resulting from the decentralization of resources originating from the Pelé Law.
