The competitions of the Brazilian Artistic Gymnastics Championship, held in Porto Alegre, were attended by gymnasts from Clube de Regatas do Flamengo.

Jade Barbosa, out of competition since the Beijing Olympics (2008), once again brought joy to the Brazilians who were moved by her at the Rio 2007 Pan American Games. Confident, determined and impeccable, the red-and-black enchanted the public and won the title of champion on the floor.

Diego Hypolito, who recently won his fourth World Cup title and is nominated for the COB's Best Athlete of the Year title, took the opportunity to introduce his new movement, the Hypolito 3. "We're using this competition to prepare for next season. I presented the Hypolito 3 for the first time yesterday, and the results were good. I'm very happy because we were able to close the year with a flourish."

The red-and-black athlete finished first in the floor and vault events, proving his superiority in the discipline. Victor Rosa, also a member of the Brazilian national team, took second place on the floor, making it a one-two finish on the podium. Victor was the best in the individual all-around, securing his third Brazilian title (2005, 2007, and 2009). Following in the footsteps of his training partners, Henrique Motta took third place on the vault.

But Flamengo didn't just rely on the strong performances of its veterans. The Clube da Gávea was also represented by the new generation. Letícia Costa has been producing excellent results, such as a ninth-place finish at the Junior Pan American Games, which secured her a spot at the Youth Olympics in July 2010. Letícia took first place in the vault, beating Bruna Leal. The Flamengo team was the best gymnast in the individual all-around (under 15s).
