Gymnasts secure spot in Toronto 2015

With four red-and-black athletes, the Brazilian Artistic Gymnastics Team secured a spot at the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto after winning silver in the team competition at the Pan American Championships. The competition was held at the Hershey Centre in Mississauga, Canada.
On the first day of competition, Isabelle Cruz, Julie Kim Sinmon, Letícia Costa, and Maria Cecília Cruz, along with the other members of the national team, secured team silver with 216,950 points. The United States took gold with 223,700, and Mexico took bronze with 210,700.
On Sunday (August 31.08), the gymnasts returned to the Hershey Center for the first day of apparatus finals. On vault, Isabelle Cruz scored 13,887 and took fifth place. On uneven bars, Letícia Costa placed fourth with 13,075. Maria Cecília Cruz was eighth with 11,075. On Monday (September 01.09), the last day of the finals, Julie Kim Sinmon took bronze on balance beam; on floor exercise, Isabelle Cruz placed fifth.
