The meeting held this afternoon at the Niterói City Hall office had a significant impact. In the presence of President Marcio Braga, Flamengo's Vice President of Olympic Sports, João Henrique Areias, and Ricardo Hinrichsen, gymnasts Diego and Daniele Hypólito, Jade Barbosa, and Victor Rosa agreed to remain at Brazil's Most Beloved.
Niterói Mayor Jorge Roberto Silveira confirmed that CRFlamengo's artistic gymnastics team will become part of the NOMES Project, which aims to promote sports development in Niterói. The main goal of Flamengo and the Niterói City Hall is to collaborate with the social project, which will stimulate interest and foster the emergence of new talent.
The stipulated amount was R$80.000,00 (eighty thousand reais) per month, over a period of four years – equivalent to the Olympic cycle.
For Ricardo Hirinchsen, the example of support that the City Hall is providing during this current crisis is of fundamental importance. "This demonstrates the potential of Flamengo's Olympic sports. Examples like this should be followed by everyone."
