The 3rd International Artistic Gymnastics Meeting of Brazil, an official event of the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG), began last Tuesday (April 15). The event takes place in Santos, on the coast of São Paulo, at the Arena Santos gymnasium. Training and competitions will run from April 15.04th to 21st. Flamengo gymnasts Letícia Costa and Maria Cecília Cruz are representing Flamengo in the Brazilian delegation.

"The girls were training here in Três Rios to participate in the Meeting. I stayed here and Ricardo (Pereira, coach) went with them. They are well prepared and should bring medals to Brazil. Expectations are higher for Letícia in the vault and for Maria Cecília, in the parallel bars," said the club's coach Keli Kitaura.

The Brazilian Gymnastics Confederation (CBG) covers accommodation, transportation, and food expenses. The women's teams from Brazil, Argentina, and Colombia, and the men's teams from Brazil, Colombia, France, and Great Britain, will participate in the event.
