During the last week (May 23-28), the technical committee of the Brazilian women's artistic gymnastics team carried out medical and physical evaluations on 21 invited athletes in Rio de Janeiro (RJ), including eight gymnasts from Flamengo. The objective was to observe, identify potential and improve the performance of potential Brazilian representatives.

The evaluations, which began last Tuesday, included athletes and coaches from Flamengo, São Bernardo, São Caetano, Cegin, and EC Pinheiros. All gymnasts underwent medical and sports testing at the Brazilian Olympic Committee's (COB) Olympic Laboratory, located at the Maria Lenk Aquatic Park in the Barra Olympic Park.
Aiming to improve the performance of the 21 athletes called up, the Brazilian technical committee analyzed the results of the biochemical, medical, clinical, thermographic (postural assessment), gynecological, orthopedic, physiotherapeutic, biomechanical, psychological, nutritional and physiological evaluations, guiding the coaches of each club.
The Flamengo Regatas Club's artistic gymnastics teams receive funding from their sponsors—AmBev, Rede D'or, IRB Brasil RE, CSN, Brasil Plural, and EY—via the Federal Incentive Law/Ministry of Sports (IR), as well as support from the Brazilian Club Committee (CBC) through the decentralization of resources from the Pelé Law. The Flamengo Guardian Angel Project, a personal tax transfer, benefits all Olympic sports of the Most Beloved Club.
