The Brazilian women's artistic gymnastics team began the first training camp of the 2021 season last Monday (01) at the Time Brasil Training Center, located in the Rio de Janeiro Olympic Park. Flamengo is very well represented with four of the eleven girls called to the "camp", in addition to coach Angelo Sabino. They are: Flávia Saraiva, Jade Barbosa, Lorrane Oliveira, Rebeca Andrade.

The activity, which includes a selected group of athletes, will continue until next Wednesday (10).

"This training will serve to assess the athletes' level and their preparation for international competitions. All with a view to the Pan American Games in May, where the final spots for the Tokyo Olympics will be determined," said the red-and-black coach, who has been called upon since 2016 to join the team of coaches conducting the evaluations. There are six coaches and a choreographer in total.

Angelo is in his second stint with Mais Querido. He joined the club in 2008 and remained there until 2013. He returned in 2017.

"I'm part of a great team that does wonderful work, coordinated by Georgette Vidor. I can only thank them," he concluded.
