Red-and-black gymnasts dominate the Brazilian Trophy
Jade Barbosa, in the women's category, and Victor Rosa, in the men's category, are the champions
By Media Relations - inFlamengo was the only winner in Campo Grande, Mato Grosso do Sul. During the Brazilian Artistic Gymnastics Trophy, held at the Avelino dos Reis Gymnasium, known as Guanandizão, Flamengo's gymnasts demonstrated grit and perfection in their movements, reaching the highest places on the podium.
\Jade Barbosa shone again and performed in style. The red-and-black athlete won the women's event with 56.375 points on all four apparatuses (floor, parallel bars, balance beam, and vault). Daniele Hypolito, who had been out of contention on all four apparatuses for a year, secured second place with a score of 54.600.
\"I came here with the goal of showing that I was competing well again on all the apparatus. The whole team worked hard to achieve this result," said Daniele.
\In the men's event, Victor Rosa stood out. After missing the finals of the Paris World Cup in April, the red-and-black returned determined to reclaim his place. Victor won the men's event with 86.550 points on all six apparatuses (floor, pommel horse, vault, rings, and horizontal bar).
\"I trained really hard to win this title. I was even happier to see that the club made it to the podium in both the men's and women's competitions. I've been training with Diego since I was eight years old and I've known Daniele (Hypolito) and Jade (Barbosa) for a long time and we're practically family," he said.
\Diego came in second place with a score of 84.550. "I was happy to be back competing on all six apparatuses after my shoulder surgery. I'm pleased with everything I performed and knew I'd have a much easier time on the floor and vault, but my greatest satisfaction was having a good performance on the pommel horse. Although it was my lowest score (12.350), I didn't have any major flaws," he concluded.
