By Media Relations - inFlamengo emerged victorious from the Brazilian Adult Artistic Gymnastics Championships on another day. After two of their athletes won medals in the individual all-around, the entire Flamengo adult team took the top spot on the podium. Almost two points ahead of second place, Flamengo was crowned Brazilian champion in the category this Saturday (November 12.11), claiming their nineteenth team title in the competition.
Luisa Parente, the club's Land Sports Manager, commented on the team's victory, which has just come off an Olympic cycle:
"It was an atypical year, but all the goals were achieved. It was an example of overcoming challenges and team unity, a truly multi-handed effort. The title crowns it all, but most importantly, they had a lot of grit and demonstrated it, putting on a performance worthy of Flamengo."
The girls from Mais Querido's gymnastics team also represent Brazil in international competitions, being part of the Brazilian national team. Daniele Hypolito, Isabelle Cruz, Milena Theodoro, Maria Cecília Oliveira and Rebeca Andrade return to the gym this Sunday (13.11), for the apparatus finals.
The artistic gymnastics teams of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo have support from the Brazilian Club Confederation (CBC) from the decentralization of resources originating from the Pelé Law and with resources from its sponsor – MRS Logística – via the Federal Incentive Law/Ministry of Sport (IR).
