Flamengo Artistic Gymnastics promotes cultural tour with athletes from the youth categories
The red-and-black kids went to visit the Museum of Life, at Fiocruz
By Romulo Paranhos - inThe Museum of Life is located at Fiocruz, in the Manguinhos neighborhood of Rio de Janeiro. The site is quite different from other museums, consisting of several spaces, such as an outdoor park, a castle, a pyramid, a theater tent, laboratories, historical and ecological trails, a butterfly house, exhibition halls, and other attractions.
Through an initiative of the technical committee of the red-black gymnastics, the general training program for base athletes aims to promote external cultural activities, in addition to technical and multidisciplinary activities.
The plan is to hold other cultural outings throughout the year, which should take place bimonthly. The next event will be a visit to Christ the Redeemer, scheduled for June.
The artistic gymnastics teams of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo rely on resources from their sponsors – AmBev, Rede D'or, IRB Brasil RE, CSN, Brasil Plural, EY – via the Federal Incentive Law/Ministry of Sports (IR), in addition to support from the Brazilian Committee of Clubs (CBC) resulting from the decentralization of resources originating from the Pelé Law.
