Artistic gymnastics kicks off the Brazilian Championship in style
The competition already guarantees medals and will continue throughout the weekend.
By Communication - Official Club Website - inThe individual competition of the Brazilian Artistic Gymnastics Championships concluded on Thursday (July 30.07). The red-and-black athletes achieved good results in the competition and brought home important medals. Led by the recently hired Jade Barbosa, the girls will now seek the same good results in the team competition and in the individual apparatus competition.
In the adult category, Jade Barbosa won the silver medal, just 0.50 points behind the first-place finisher. Maria Cecília Oliveira completed the podium with another strong performance, taking bronze. Julie Sinmon, in fifth, Isabelle Cruz, in ninth, and Leticia Costa, in eleventh, rounded out the Rubro-Negra's participation in the category. In the under-16 category, Milena Theodoro finished ninth, and Thauany Araujo finished fifteenth.
The athletes return to the Constâncio Vieira Sports Center in Aracaju, Sergipe, on Friday (July 01.07) at 16 p.m. for the team competition. Saturday is the day off, before finishing the competition on Sunday (July 03.07) in the apparatus competition. In both competitions, the Flamengo athletes are already showing strong results and are expected to achieve great results.
