Artistic Gymnastics bids farewell to 2010 at Gala event
Santos Multipurpose Arena will host the final performance of the red-and-black gymnasts
By Media Relations - inBrazilian gymnasts will have a very different competition to what they are used to to celebrate their achievements in 2010. Next Sunday (12.12), the city of Santos, on the coast of São Paulo, will be the stage for the Gymnastics Gala, an event that will feature the presence of the main athletes from the six modalities (Artistic, Rhythmic, Aerobic, Trampoline, Acrobatic and For All).
\Most of the gymnasts are already in Santos. Renowned names from the red-and-black sport, such as Diego and Daniele Hypolito and Jade Barbosa, have confirmed their attendance.
\The gymnasium is all set up for the Brazilian Gymnastics Confederation's (CBG) year-end celebration. The first rehearsals for the grand performance began this Friday morning.
\"The event showcases gymnastics in a different way. I hope to see the Arena packed for another gymnastics spectacle," said Daniele Hypolito.
