Flamengo's Flamengo team continues to perform well in the Doha leg of the Artistic Gymnastics World Cup. After taking silver on the floor exercise, young Sergio Sasaki won the gold medal on vault this Friday (April 01.04). With a score of 16.012, the Flamengo gymnast beat China's Huang Yugo, who took silver with 15.850, and the Beijing 2008 Olympic team champion on the floor exercise and high bar, Zou Kai, who took bronze with 15.750.
Rubro-negro coach Renato Araújo posted on Twitter that Sasaki also won the young revelation trophy at the Doha stage.
In the women's event, Daniele Hypolito also made it to the podium once again. Gold on vault, the red-and-black gymnast, this Friday (01.04), won bronze on floor.
