Concerned about the current situation and the future of the gymnasts, President Marcio Braga made a point of meeting and speaking personally with the Hypólito brothers, Diego and Daniele, and with Jade Barbosa.

In a closed-door meeting, attended by Vice President of Olympic Sports Patrícia Amorim and João Henrique Areias, a marketing professional who will try to raise funds for the Olympic sport, Marcio Braga made it clear to the gymnasts that they will be able to continue training at Gávea, but without a contract.

- "We are going through a very difficult time, we've run out of money!" – exclaimed the President to the gymnasts.

Afterwards, at a press conference in the Rogério Steinberg Auditorium, Marcio Braga once again explained why he could not make a contractual commitment to the athletes.

"We've run out of money. We can't take it on because we can't fulfill this commitment. Flamengo's greatness lies in its athletes and coaches. They are the ones who determine the club's eternal glory. Due to the crisis that has shaken the entire world, we can no longer maintain Olympic sports within this management model."

"Without sponsorship and support from the Cob or the Government, we cannot fulfill our commitments and maintain Olympic gymnastics."

Marcio Braga will go to the Confao (Olympic Athlete Training Clubs) meeting at Clube Pinheiros, in São Paulo, next Tuesday, together with other directors, to discuss with the Minister of Sports a financial solution for the clubs.

"The resources allocated by the Government to the COB do not reach the clubs and those obtained through tax incentives do not allow for the payment of athletes' salaries," says the president, lamenting, like the athletes, the decision taken.

The president offered the club's facilities to the gymnasts to continue their training.

Visibly disappointed with the outcome of the meeting, Diego Hypólito was the spokesperson for the red-black trio.

"This year will be different from the previous ones. I lost my sponsors. Unfortunately, I can't stay on the sidelines. I've always been at Flamengo to defend the club. I've reached a point where I can't go back. I have a history, 13 years here, Dani has 15 years at Flamengo, and Jade has been here since she was very young. How can we go on without a guarantee?" asked the two-time world champion on the floor.

João Henrique Areias asked the gymnasts for a 90-day period to try to find solutions for the CRFlamengo artistic gymnast.
