Even though they were far away, with their focus on the last stage of the Artistic Gymnastics World Cup, in Stuttgart (Germany), Diego and Daniele Hypólito remembered the 113 years since the founding of CRFlamengo, the Club that projected gymnasts onto the national and international scene.

- "Flamengo means a lot to me, because it was the club that always welcomed me with great affection. Today is a special day for the red-and-black nation," said Diego.

Unfortunately, suffering from severe back pain, Diego finished 7th on floor exercise and fourth on vault. The current two-time world floor champion finished his performance in seventh place with 14,450 points. Germany's Fabian Hambuechen took first place with 15,525 points.

In the vault final, the Brazilian gymnast finished fourth with 15,812 points. The gold medal went to Frenchman Thomas Bouhail with 16,200.

Dani, the eternal Little Notable of Gávea and Brazil's only female representative, finished 8th in the floor final, scoring 12,675 points. Fei Cheng of China finished first with 15,250.

- "It was at Flamengo that I won my first international medal, in 2001, in Belgium. I am very proud to train at this club with so much tradition. Congratulations, my Mengão", declared Daniele.
