Diego Hypólito's favorite moment has arrived. After intense training, the gymnast will travel to Germany next Monday (March 16th) to compete in the first stage of the Artistic Gymnastics World Cup, which will run from March 03th to 19nd.
Diego, who ended 2008 as a three-time world floor champion, confirmed his place on the Brazilian team after a tryout in Curitiba, the CBG headquarters. "I'm in good physical shape, and this first competition will help me get my rhythm. I'll compete on floor and vault, and there's a chance I'll compete on bars. The biggest change will be the change in the scoring code."
Daniele, the eternal Little Notable of the Olympic sport, is already in Venice, Italy, accompanied by young Letícia da Costa, also a CRF gymnast, and coach Ricardo Pereira. The two were called up to compete in the International Tournament in the Italian city after being evaluated by CBG national team coach Georgette Vidor. Daniele and Letícia will be in action this Saturday (March 14th).
In addition to Brazil and host Italy, the tournament will feature the national teams of England, China and Romania.
