Gymnasts and brothers Daniele and Diego Hypolito, along with coach Viviane Cardoso, embarked on Monday (June 14) for another competition in the Artistic Gymnastics World Cup. Their destination is the city of Porto – São João da Madeira, in Portugal. The competition will be held between June 6th and 18th.

Daniele Hypolito, the eternal "Little Remarkable" of the Olympic sport, will have an even greater responsibility, as she will be the sole representative in the women's competition. Coaching will be handled by Marcos Goto, for the men, and by the red-and-black Viviane Cardoso, for the women.

"I'm very happy to be competing alongside my brother in international competitions again. It's been a while since this happened, and my expectations are the best possible," said Daniele.

\

Diego Hypolito, who in the two World Cup stages held this season won two gold medals on floor and a silver medal on vault, hopes to repeat the same performance in Portugal.

\

"Although we're in the World Cup spirit, gymnastics doesn't stop and I hope all the Brazilian fans are also supporting us and sending us good vibes," said the gymnast who will turn 24 on June 19, the date of the floor finals.

\

"It would be fantastic to win a medal for Brazil and Flamengo on my birthday," he added.

The Brazilian team is scheduled to return on the 21st.
