Jade Barbosa chats with youth athletes

Meeting between red-and-black gymnasts serves as encouragement and guidance for good results

Last Wednesday (August 13.08), the young red-and-black gymnasts had the opportunity to have their training supervised by veteran Jade Barbosa. Afterwards, they spoke with the athlete, exchanged experiences, and asked questions. The Exchange Day took place at the Togo Renan Soares gymnasium, at the Gávea headquarters, and was also attended by the parents of some of the young athletes.

Aware of the need to share experiences with young people, Jade emphasized the importance of encounters like this for her growth. "I had this opportunity early in my career with other athletes, and these moments really make all the difference. Sometimes you're in a competition and, no matter how talented you are, you feel a little lost. In these situations, a word or a look changes everything, and I feel I can provide that security for them now. This way, we train better and reap the rewards," Jade said.

The young athletes couldn't hide their excitement at the opportunity to train with their clubmate and role model. Maria Eduarda Lira Chaves, 11, echoed Jade. "I've been training at the club since I was two and a half, when I joined the Escolinha, but I've been on the team since I was five. I've always been a fan of Jade, and days like these are so important not only because she's an excellent athlete but also because she motivates us so much. She encourages us to try harder and gives us guidance to become better athletes," concluded the young gymnast.
