Jade Barbosa and Diego Hypolito will represent the Flamengo team at the Artistic Gymnastics World Cup in Ghent, Belgium, from August 31st to September 05th. The two athletes are part of the Brazilian delegation of six gymnasts and will be accompanied by coaches Ricardo Pereira and Renato Araújo, with whom they train at Flamengo. This will be their last international competition before the World Championships in Japan, which will be an Olympic qualifier.

In Belgium since August 13th training with the entire Brazilian women's team, Jade wants to use the opportunity to fine-tune the final details before the World Cup, as the Japanese championship will not allow for mistakes.

"This World Cup will be an opportunity to analyze the series before the World Championships. It will be important to see the scores of the apparatus according to the international judges. More than a medal, I want to present reliable series," he stated.

Diego Hypolito has the same expectations. For the two-time World Champion on floor exercise, it will be an opportunity to show that Brazil will have a strong group at the World Cup.

"A good result at the World Cup will make us more confident in Japan, and that's crucial. We need to arrive at the World Cup prepared not only physically, but also psychologically," he revealed.

Diego leaves on Sunday (28.08) with Mosiah Rodrigues, Arthur Zanetti and coach Renato Araújo. The other athletes of the Brazilian men's team continue their training period at Flamengo, in Gávea, until September 03.
