Olympic gymnasts Jade Barbosa and Flavia Saraiva are preparing to return to international competitions in 2018. Between April 2nd and 7th, the Flamengo athletes will participate in the Brazilian national team's training session ahead of the Trofeo Città di Jesolo in Italy.

Training sessions are being held at the Time Brasil Training Center in Rio de Janeiro. The Brazilian delegation leaves for the Italian city this Sunday (8) and competes the following weekend, on the 14th and 15th.

This will be the first international competition for the Mais Querido gymnasts in 2018. Jade and Flavia were part of the team that competed in the Rio Olympic Games in 2016. With them were fellow red-and-blacks Rebeca Andrade and Lorrane Oliveira.

The artistic gymnastics teams of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo rely on resources from their sponsors – AmBev, Rede D'or, IRB Brasil RE, CSN, Brasil Plural, EY – via the Federal Incentive Law/Ministry of Sports (IR), in addition to support from the Brazilian Committee of Clubs (CBC) resulting from the decentralization of resources originating from the Pelé Law.
