One day after securing an Olympic spot in the team event at the Pre-Olympics, which is being held in London, gymnast Jade Barbosa returned today (12.01) to the North Greenwich Arena to prove once and for all that she is ready to compete in her second edition of the Games.

Having qualified first for the vault final on the first day, with 14.766, the red-black team shone again and achieved an even higher score, securing gold with 14.799.

Daniele Hypolito, the second representative for the red-and-black team in the event, also competed in the final and narrowly missed the podium. She finished fourth with 14.066 points. The gymnast, however, will still compete in the floor final this Friday (January 13.01th) at 16:30 pm Brasília time.
