One of Flamengo's veteran gymnasts, Jade Barbosa will once again be a member of the Brazilian artistic gymnastics team, this time at the Pan American Games in Toronto. At 24 years old, the Flamengo athlete is another representative of the most beloved team in Canada, which represents half of the team—of six athletes, three are Flamengo members.

Jade performed exceptionally well at the 2007 Rio Games, winning three medals—one gold, one silver, and one bronze—and placing fourth in the all-around and on the balance beam. The Flamengo gymnast, who returned to the club in 2014, will accompany two other Flamengo athletes, Julie Kim Sinmon and Letícia Costa, passing on her experience to the young gymnasts. Flamengo coach Keli Kitura will also be present as a member of the coaching staff.
