Josué Heliodoro and Roberto Nassar represent Flamengo in the Junior Team Cup
The competition takes place between April 4th and 7th in Berlin, Germany.

The Brazilian Youth Artistic Gymnastics Team will feature two red-and-black players in another international competition. Josué Heliodoro and Roberto Nassar, gymnast and coach of the Mais Querido team, respectively, will compete in the Junior Team Cup, which will take place from April 4th to 7th in Berlin, Germany.
The event is a traditional European event, welcoming youth athletes from various regions of Germany. This year, the tournament will feature guest countries such as Brazil, France, Italy, the United States, Portugal, the Netherlands, and others.
Roberto Nassar, coach of Mais Querido who also manages the boys' national team, commented on Josué's preparation for the Junior Team Cup.
“Josué has been trained by me since 2009 and, since last year, we focused on training so that he could join the national youth team, and the opportunity came this season. In January, we participated in the Brazilian National Team's training camp with the other athletes and, for ten days, we carried out some very demanding activities. Initially, Josué and I were among the reserves, but due to some gymnast cuts, he was called up to participate in this event, as well as me, who will be the coach of the Brazilian kids," explained the red-and-black athlete.
If he succeeds in his first international competition, Josué Heliodoro will take a major step toward remaining on the Brazilian roster, which will compete in the first-ever Junior World Championships, organized by the International Gymnastics Federation (FIG). The competition will take place in Hungary in July.
The artistic gymnastics teams of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo rely on resources from their sponsors – AmBev, Rede D'or, IRB Brasil RE, CSN, Brasil Plural, EY – via the Federal Incentive Law/Ministry of Sports (IR), in addition to support from the Brazilian Committee of Clubs (CBC) resulting from the decentralization of resources originating from the Pelé Law.
