The red-black Josué Heliodoro was one of the participants in the training camp of the Brazilian Men's Artistic Gymnastics Team, which ended this Wednesday (05) at CT Time Brasil, in Rio de Janeiro. The event, organized by the Brazilian Gymnastics Confederation (CBG) in conjunction with the Brazilian Olympic Committee (COB), also had the presence of Roberto Nassar, coach of Mais Querido.

The meeting aimed to monitor the athletes who will represent the country in major competitions throughout the season, as well as to train coaches and closely monitor the new generation of Brazilian gymnasts. In total, 22 gymnasts and 13 coaches participated in the training. The large number of athletes at the camp is due to the possibility of having a fifth member on the men's team for the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

Three more camps are planned before the Olympics, in March, May, and July. The artistic gymnastics competitions in Tokyo will take place between July 25th and August 4th.

The artistic gymnastics teams of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo rely on resources from their sponsors – AmBev, Rede D'or, IRB Brasil RE, CSN, Brasil Plural, EY – via the Federal Incentive Law/Ministry of Sports (IR), in addition to support from the Brazilian Committee of Clubs (CBC) resulting from the decentralization of resources originating from the Pelé Law.
