Flamengo will have two representatives at the 44th World Artistic Gymnastics Championships, which will take place from October 3rd to 6th in Belgium. One of them is gymnast Letícia Costa, just 18 years old and a source of pride for the Gávea club. The other is coach Ricardo Pereira, who was called up to join the Brazilian delegation. Both are already in Belgium.

 "The World Championships will be a very difficult competition. Therefore, it will be quite difficult for Letícia to win a medal, especially since Brazil has no tradition in this championship. Since she is only 18 years old, it is important for Letícia to compete in the competition for the first time to start gaining experience," explained Ana Paula Luck, artistic gymnastics coordinator at Mais Querido.

The athlete will arrive at the World Championships buoyed by her recent result. Last month, in Espírito Santo, she was part of the Brazilian Adult Red and Black team that won gold at the Brazilian Championships. In that same competition, the gymnast won the silver medal in the individual all-around.
