Luisa Parente analyzes the performance of the red-black artistic gymnastics
Mais Querido's sports manager assesses the results obtained during the season as positive
By Romulo Paranhos - inThe red-and-black artistic gymnastics continues to bring much joy to the Nation, having achieved very expressive results on the national scene in 2018. With Brazilian National Team level gymnasts in its squad, such as Jade Barbosa, Flávia Saraiva, Rebeca Andrade and Lorrane Dos Santos, the Mais Querido won several medals in the various competitions in which it competed throughout the year, in addition to two national titles.
At the Brazilian Championships in June, Flamengo won the team championship, with Jade Barbosa, Flávia Saraiva, Lorrane Dos Santos, Luisa Kirchmayer, Isabelle Retamiro, and Maria Julia Marques competing. Jade also took silver in the individual all-around. At the Brazilian Specialist Championships in August, the red-and-black team finished first again, winning the competition title. In the individual all-around, Jade and Flávia shone, winning gold and silver, respectively. Flamengo finished the competition with ten medals over the two-day event.

Luisa Parente, Rubro-Negro's Land Sports Manager, analyzed the artistic gymnastics performance throughout the 2018 season.
"We can consider that the current season is excellent; the main goals have been achieved. We have a complete team that is performing very well in competitions, winning the team championship, which is our main goal. The club managed to retain four Olympic gymnasts, which was crucial for balancing the team. Gymnastics is a sport strongly supported by the Brazilian Olympic Committee, and therefore, we have their support, providing the girls with access to the Brazilian National Team Training Center, which is viewed very positively," said Luisa, who made a technical comparison between this year's Brazilian Championship finals and last year's.
"In 2017, we practically only competed on one apparatus in the team finals, with Rebeca and Jade. In this year's final, we managed to reach four apparatuses with Flávia, four with Jade, and three with Lorrane. I consider it a great improvement for our gymnastics," concluded the Flamengo manager.
Currently, athletes Flávia Saraiva, Rebeca Andrade, Jade Barbosa and Lorrane dos Santos are at CT Time Brasil participating in preparatory training for the World Championship of the sport, which will take place in Doha, Qatar, between October 25th and November 3rd.
The artistic gymnastics teams of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo rely on resources from their sponsors – AmBev, Rede D'or, IRB Brasil RE, CSN, Brasil Plural, EY – via the Federal Incentive Law/Ministry of Sports (IR), in addition to support from the Brazilian Committee of Clubs (CBC) resulting from the decentralization of resources originating from the Pelé Law.
