Flamengo girls dominate Brazilian Youth Artistic Gymnastics Championship

This past weekend, Clube de Regatas do Flamengo confirmed its position as the best women's artistic gymnastics school in the country. At the Brazilian Junior Championships, held in Canoas, Rio Grande do Sul, the red-and-black team, led by coaches Keli Kitaura and Francisco Porath, prevailed, taking the gold medal with 158,250 points, ahead of Cegin (154,000) and Yashi (150,150), respectively.

The Rubro-Negro also had the best gymnasts in the individual all-around competition. In the under-15 category, Isabelle Cristina had the best performance with 51,450 points. In the under-13 category, the Rubro-Negro team had a double: Rebeca Rodrigues had the highest score (53,900), followed by Lorrane dos Santos, with 52,000. Milena Theodoro finished fourth.

The girls also shone in the apparatus finals. On the floor, the podium was all Flamengo, with Rebeca in first, Lorrane in second, and Milena in third. On the vault, Lorrane was the overall champion, as was the parallel bars, where Rebeca had the second-highest score. On the beam, Flamengo took silver with Lorrane.
