Milena Theodoro wins medals at the Mexican Open

Flamengo gymnast wins a silver and a bronze

Milena Theodoro, a Brazilian gymnast, participated in a major artistic gymnastics competition and achieved outstanding results. The Mexican Open, held in Acapulco from November 28th to 30th, won bronze in the individual all-around. Her silver medal came in the team competition, as the Brazilian Women's Youth National Team placed second.

In the individual all-around, Milena Theodoro scored 51,500 points and was behind only two other American gymnasts: Bailie Key, with 56,901, and Lauren Hernandez, with 56,567. Brazilians Raquel Silva, Tamires da Veiga and Carolyne Pedro finished in 5th, 7th and 14th place, respectively.

In the team competition, the Brazilian Women's Youth National Team scored 150,834 points, trailing only the United States, which scored 169,367 points. The championship also featured athletes from Romania, Japan, Spain, Colombia, Canada, China, Russia, Ukraine, Mexico, and Uzbekistan. Brazil's coaches were Marcos Goto, Iryna Ilyashenko, and Francisco Porath Neto, who played for Flamengo.
