With four red-and-black athletes, the Brazilian artistic gymnastics team that will compete in the Pan American Championships in Mississauga, starting on the 29th, is already in Canada for training and acclimatization. The competition is a qualifier for the Toronto 2015 Pan American Games.
In Canada, Brazil will seek medals in the team, individual all-around, and apparatus competitions. Of the seven athletes available to Alexander Alexandrov, four are from Flamengo: Isabelle Cruz, Julie Kim Sinmon, Letícia Costa, and Maria Cecília Cruz.
"This acclimatization is very important so that we can get used to the equipment and so that we can all perfect our routines together. In competition, we have to have as few mistakes as possible," said Letícia Costa.
