A few days ago, the completely renovated Cláudio Coutinho gymnasium was reopened at the Gávea headquarters. Last weekend, the Copa Fla (Fla Cup) brought even more life to the venue, which has become a national benchmark. With 500 young athletes participating from 15 sports organizations in Rio de Janeiro, Flamengo gymnastics once again held an event endorsed by the Brazilian Confederation of Artistic Gymnastics (CBG).
"It was a great rescue after years of not opening to outside clubs, after the fire, with the gym completely renovated. Very cool," said Luisa Parente, Mais Querido's land sports manager. Click here to see photos of the event that took place at Gávea headquarters.
At the red-and-black gymnastics festival, which packed the gymnasium, all the children received gifts and medals and all the participating organizations took home trophies.
