Rebeca Andrade did well at the Gymnastics World Championships, which took place in Doha, Qatar. With a good performance in the qualifying rounds yesterday, the Rubro-Negra athlete confirmed second place in the uneven bars event this Friday (25), and with 14,250 points she took the silver medal. Rebeca was surpassed by Sweden's Joanna Adlerteg who with 14,950 took the gold.

Tomorrow, another Flamengo athlete will compete in the final in Doha. Tahuany Araújo finished fourth in the qualifying round and will compete for a medal on the balance beam. 

This is the ninth edition of the artistic gymnastics event, which precedes Rio 2016 and welcomes more than 100 gymnasts from 33 countries. After Doha, the next stop will be back in Brazil, in Rio de Janeiro, for the Olympic Games test event, which takes place from April 16 to 19.

The artistic gymnastics teams of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo have support from the Brazilian Club Confederation (CBC) from the decentralization of resources originating from the Pelé Law and with resources from its sponsor – MRS Logística – via the Federal Incentive Law/Ministry of Sport (IR).
