Rebeca Andrade wins two medals at the World Cup
Gymnast wins a silver and a bronze in the São Paulo stage, at the Ibirapuera gymnasium

With 75 days to go before the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, Brazilian gymnast Rebeca Andrade won two medals at the São Paulo leg of the World Cup. She reached the uneven bars and balance beam finals, taking silver and bronze, respectively. Jade Barbosa competed as an "Hours Concours" competitor, not competing for medals.
Rebeca won her first medal on Saturday (21), on the uneven bars, after being the best in the qualifying rounds of the event. On Sunday morning (22), the red-black athlete competed in the balance beam final, also placing first. During the execution, the athlete suffered a fall that did not take her off the podium. Rebeca took the bronze, with 13,000 points.
Featuring Flamengo gymnasts and coaches, the Brazilian artistic gymnastics team has qualified for Rio 2016. The Brazilian Gymnastics Confederation (CBG) has not yet announced its official roster, but it is expected to feature Flamengo talent on its athletic team and coaching staff.
