On Monday morning (02.12), in Brasília, the red-black gymnast Rebeca Andrade won first place in the vault event, part of the apparatus final, for the Brazilian Team, at the World School Games, the Gymnasiade. On Saturday (30.11), Rebeca won bronze in the individual all-around and came in second place on the podium in the team all-around, with two other Fla athletes: Lorenna Antunes and Julie Kim Sinmon.

Keli Kitaura, who is part of the Brazilian National Team's coaching staff, is an artistic gymnastics coach at Mais Querido and has been pleased with Rebeca's performance so far.

"If it weren't for a few mistakes, she could have even taken first place in the all-around. But her performance was great. Especially since it's Rebeca's first world championship, with older athletes. She's only 14, and there are 16-year-old girls competing," praised Keli.

The artistic gymnastics competition ends this Tuesday (03.12), at the Nilson Nelson gymnasium, in Brasília, when Rebeca competes again, still in the apparatus final, this time in the floor event.
