Flamengo's Artistic Gymnastics team spared no effort and kicked off the Brazilian Adult Championship with two of its athletes on the podium this Thursday (18). Rebeca Andrade, after spending two years without participating in the competition, secured first place in the women's individual all-around with 58.300, far from second place. Milena Theodoro, who is also part of the red-black team, took third place, totaling 53.700.

Rebeca, who represented Brazil at the Rio Olympics, was pleased to have achieved first place and to have been able to achieve this feat alongside her team.
"I was very happy to have returned after the Olympics and to have won another trophy, another victory for my career. And having people from my team with me is great. I was very happy for them too," said the athlete.
In addition to finishing the first day of the country's most important competition with two podium finishes, Flamengo also secured a fifth-place finish with gymnast Isabelle Cruz. The Flamengo team, also comprised of Maria Cecília Oliveira, Daniele Hypolito, and Beatriz Santos, was accompanied by coaches Keli Kitaura and Rhayanne Araújo.
The gymnasts will compete again this Saturday (12), seeking the team medal. Mais Querido has 18 Brazilian Adult titles and last year was runner-up in the team competition.
The artistic gymnastics teams of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo have support from the Brazilian Club Confederation (CBC) from the decentralization of resources originating from the Pelé Law and with resources from its sponsor – MRS Logística – via the Federal Incentive Law/Ministry of Sport (IR).
