Rubro-Negro's Rebeca Andrade and Flávia Saraiva led Brazil's show at the Pan American Artistic Gymnastics Championships. This Friday, the gymnasts thrilled the crowd in Rio de Janeiro, winning three gold medals and two silver medals. Flavinha won the balance beam and individual all-around championships, and took silver on the floor exercise. Olympic champion Rebeca Andrade won gold on the bars and silver on the balance beam. 

Flávia Saraiva showed she's recovered from ankle surgery and shone on all apparatuses. Even on the uneven bars, her weakest point, she performed a more difficult series (13,533 points). She performed well on her vault (14,100). The individual all-around title was sealed after winning gold on the balance beam (14,433) and silver on the floor (13,333). The gymnast scored 55,399 points, surpassing Americans Lexi Zeiss (54,199) and Skye Blakely (52,933).

Rebeca had the two best scores in the women's competition. On bars, where she is the current world runner-up, she won gold with a score of 14,967. On vault, where she is both Olympic and world champion, she scored 14,500 points but missed the podium due to not performing a second vault—the score was valid only for the team competition. Rebeca also took silver on balance beam (14,067), behind only Flavinha.

The Brazilians will still compete in the team final on Sunday morning, but they already confirmed their place in the Liverpool World Cup in October this Friday.
