On Monday morning (8), Rebeca Andrade and Lorrane Oliveira were honored in Gávea for their achievements at the Gymnastics World Championships in Liverpool. Our Olympic champion won the gold medal in the individual all-around, the first in the history of Brazilian gymnastics, and the bronze in the floor exercise, with her iconic performance to the sound of Baile de Favela. In the team event, the Brazilians finished fourth, another unprecedented placement for the country.

Present at the ceremony were the club's President, Rodolfo Landim, the CEO, Reinaldo Belotti, the Vice President of Olympic Sports, Guilherme Kroll, the Director of Olympic Sports, Marcelo Vido, the technical coordinator, Georgette Vidor and the coordinator of artistic sports Roberta Perillier, as well as gymnasts from the youth categories and coaches of the sport.

"I feel very proud; the medals are a testament to all our hard work. Here at the club, I have coaches, a multidisciplinary team, and everyone is always helping us out. Without them, we wouldn't be here. I feel very honored to represent my country, Flamengo, and the people who inspire me," said Rebeca.
