The Brazilian team was a standout at the Artistic Gymnastics World Cup in Varna, Bulgaria, last weekend (2 to 4.09). Among the medalists, Rebeca Andrade, a gymnast from Mais Querido, also secured two gold medals and placed Brazil on the highest spot on the podium.
In total, the team won eight medals, five in the women's and three in the men's. For Rebeca Andrade, the gold medals came on Saturday (2), when the athlete won in the vault and in the asymmetrical.
With the World Cup over, Brazilian gymnasts continue their preparations for the World Championships in Canada, scheduled for October. Furthermore, with an eye on the upcoming Tokyo 2020 Olympic cycle, the Brazilian Gymnastics Confederation (CBG) released the list of athletes who will represent the national team during this period, including Rebeca and Flávia Saraiva.
