Rebeca Andrade wins silver in challenge in Belgium

Julie Kim Simnon and Letícia Costa also represented Flamengo in the Brazilian National Team

With Flamengo athletes Rebeca Andrade, Julie Kim Simnon, and Letícia Costa, the Brazilian Women's Artistic Gymnastics Team won bronze in the overall team ranking at the Flanders International Team Challenge in Ghent, Belgium, held this weekend. Rebeca also won silver on Saturday (May 30.05) in the individual overall ranking. In addition to the athletes, Flamengo coach Keli Kitaura was a member of the coaching staff.

In the team final, each country competed with an adult and youth team. Brazil's adult team and Italy's youth team competed together in the final, finishing third with 214,800 points. Germany finished first with 219,850, followed by Belgium with 216,000. In the qualifying round, held only among adults, on Sunday (May 31.05), Brazil took the lead with 221,350.

In the Individual All-Around, Rebeca Andrade won the silver medal with 55,350 points. Letícia Costa placed 14th with 53,500. Julie Kim Sinmom competed on three apparatuses.
