Rebeca Andrade: "being on the podium was wonderful"
Gymnast celebrates first medal in the adult category in the national team

At the World Cup in Ljubljana, Slovenia, on Saturday morning (04.04), Rebeca Andrade won bronze for the Brazilian National Team in her first competition in the adult category. The red-and-black athlete, just 15 years old, is still celebrating her achievement. She had qualified first for the uneven bars final, with 14,300 points.
"I was very happy because I had that mistake on the parallel bar and still coming in third was incredible. And it was even better because it was my first World Cup and the first competition of the year that I competed in. Being on the podium was wonderful, I loved it... And with all the Brazilian fans watching me! I was really happy," he revealed a day after the victory.
Keli Kitaura, one of the coaches of the Women's National Team, emphasized the importance of the young women participating in this event. "The excitement is high. These girls are part of our new generation, and the experience of participating in a World Cup will be great for them," she stated.
