In the women's individual artistic gymnastics competition this Thursday (11), the red-black athlete Rebeca Andrade, just 17 years old, won 11th place in the classification of these finals. Her highest score occurred in the first rotation, precisely in her specialty, the vault. Rebeca scored 15.566 points and was in third place at the end of the competition on the first apparatus.
"I'm so happy to be one of the best gymnasts in the world at just 17 years old. This is important for my career. Competing alongside Simone Biles was incredible. She said my vault was incredible, and I was so happy," said an excited Rebeca, referring to the American who won the team and individual all-around championships with the United States.

After achieving 13.700 on her first rotation on the balance beam, Jade Barbosa felt pain in her right ankle after performing the second acrobatic exercise on the floor. The gymnast received a standing ovation from the audience and was taken directly to the Olympic Village polyclinic, where she will undergo an MRI to diagnose the injury.
On Monday (15), Flavia Saraiva competes in the beam final at the Arena.
