Since joining the club in 2011 at age 12, the athlete has built a successful career, accumulating historic titles and elevating Mengão to the top of the podium. "It's amazing! Especially at competitions, there's always someone there. No, seriously, it's really cool! And when the red-and-blacks carry the flag, they show all this affection, this support, and the confidence they have in us. It motivates us to wake up early, train well, keep training, guiding a new generation, and being a good role model. The support means a lot to us," said the gymnast.

Her journey to becoming Brazil's greatest Olympic medalist is marked by impressive achievements. At the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, she made history by winning the gold medal in vault and silver in the individual all-around. At Paris 2024, Rebeca expanded her legacy by winning four medals: gold in floor exercise, silver in the individual all-around and vault, and bronze in the team event. With a total of six Olympic medals, she established herself as the Brazilian athlete with the most medals at the Games.
