With an eye on the Montreal Artistic Gymnastics World Championships, held in October in Canada, the athletes of the Brazilian National Team continue to prepare in 2017. In May, Flávia Saraiva and Rebeca Andrade face another challenge in this season's series of competitions.

Under the command of Marcos Goto, Flávia and Rebeca were called up for the apparatus competitions in the two stages of the World Cup, in Slovenia and Croatia, in May.

The Women's National Team will undergo two internal evaluations with the coaching staff before traveling to the World Cup. The Slovenian leg will then be held in Koper, at the Bonifica Arena, from May 10th to 14th. The athletes will then travel to Osijek, Croatia, to compete for medals at the Gradski VRT Hall from May 17th to 21st.

In the first international challenge of the season, the Trofeo Città di Jesolo, held in Italy, there were two silver medals for Rebeca, and one gold and one silver medal for Flávia.

The Flamengo Regatas Club's artistic gymnastics teams receive funding from their sponsors—AmBev, Rede D'or, IRB Brasil RE, CSN, Brasil Plural, and EY—via the Federal Incentive Law/Ministry of Sports (IR), as well as support from the Brazilian Club Committee (CBC) through the decentralization of resources from the Pelé Law. The Flamengo Guardian Angel Project, a personal tax transfer, benefits all Olympic sports of the Most Beloved Club.
