Throughout this week (August 22-26.08), the Time Brasil Training Center at Arena da Barra in Rio de Janeiro is hosting a training camp offered by the CBG, the Brazilian Gymnastics Confederation. During this period, 15 artistic gymnastics athletes from across the country are gathered under the leadership of Marcos Goto, the national coordinator of the sport, and Flamengo could not be left out. Flamengo is well represented by Rebeca Andrade and Letícia Costa, both accompanied by Flamengo coach Angelo Sabino.

 

The training camp, which is aimed at future international competitions on the calendar, will be followed by an evaluation, in which the CBG technical committee will analyze the technical level of the athletes.

 

The next commitment for the red-black artistic gymnastics is the Brazilian Pre-Child and Youth Championship, in Porto Alegre, between September 6th and 10th.

The Flamengo Regatas Club's artistic gymnastics teams receive funding from their sponsors—AmBev, Rede D'or, IRB Brasil RE, CSN, Brasil Plural, and EY—via the Federal Incentive Law/Ministry of Sports (IR), as well as support from the Brazilian Club Committee (CBC) through the decentralization of resources from the Pelé Law. The Flamengo Guardian Angel Project, a personal tax transfer, benefits all Olympic sports of the Most Beloved Club.
