Flamengo's artistic gymnastics teams will have new equipment in 2017

Artistic gymnastics at Mais Querido will start 2017 well supported, with new features at the Cláudio Coutinho gymnasium. The training facility, which has undergone a series of renovations over the last two years and become an Olympic legacy for the red-and-black athletes, received new equipment this Friday (10.02), all from the agreement with the Brazilian Club Committee (CBC).
The tenth agreement with the organization provided 14 new apparatuses to Flamengo's gymnasts at the start of the season. The gymnasium received important equipment that will make a difference in the Flamengo teams' training. In addition to the auxiliary apparatus, such as three new sets of mats, the Mais Querido athletes now have access to a new official Olympic floor, new asymmetrical parallel bars, a new balance beam, a new vaulting table (with a built-in transport system), three new trampolines, a new pommel horse, new rings with a gantry, and a new competition running track.
The Cláudio Coutinho gym, which was already one of the best places to practice the sport in the country, is increasingly well-equipped, on par with the gymnastics at Clube da Gávea, which is a national reference and an important part of the red-and-black DNA.

On January 23rd, the CBC officially announced its sixth Call for Projects at the Tijuca Tennis Club. Flamengo will once again benefit from the Committee, this time with a grant of over four million reais to train athletes for the next Olympic cycle. Flamengo's artistic gymnastics, like the club's other Olympic sports, will once again benefit from the program.
The gymnastics teams of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo have support from the Brazilian Club Confederation (CBC) from the decentralization of resources originating from the Pelé Law and with resources from its sponsor – MRS Logística – via the Federal Incentive Law/Ministry of Sport (IR).
