Mengão is well represented on the Brazilian National Team! Flavia Saraiva, Lorrane Oliveira, Jade Barbosa, and Rebeca Andrade are training with the national artistic gymnastics team for the final training camp before the World Championships. The match will take place at the Time Brasil Training Center in Barra da Tijuca from September 15th to 22nd. After this period, the Brazilians will travel to Germany to finalize their preparations for the international competition.

"The team is practically ready for the World Championships. This camp is an opportunity to fine-tune the final details to do our best in the competition. This World Championship is a pre-Olympic tournament, so it already qualifies for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. To qualify, Brazil needs to finish among the top twelve teams to secure team qualification," said Ângelo Sabino, coach of the red-and-black artistic gymnastics team.

The 2019 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships will be held in Stuttgart, Germany, from October 4th to 13th. The competition will take place at the Hanns-Martin-Schleyer-Halle gymnasium and will be the third time the German city has hosted the event.

The artistic gymnastics teams of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo rely on resources from their sponsors – AmBev, Rede D'or, IRB Brasil RE, CSN, Brasil Plural, EY – via the Federal Incentive Law/Ministry of Sports (IR), in addition to support from the Brazilian Committee of Clubs (CBC) resulting from the decentralization of resources originating from the Pelé Law.
