Flamengo fan and promising Brazilian artistic gymnast, Rebecca Andrade was the standout performer at the Brazil Trophy, held this weekend at the Alcides Pan Sports Center in Toledo, Paraná. At just 13 years old, competing in her first year of youth and her first senior championship, Rebecca represented Flamengo ably and won the gold medal in the competition, after achieving the highest total on all four apparatuses: 55.250 (14.900 on vault, 12.900 on uneven bars, 13.800 on balance beam, and 13.650 on floor).

Another highlight in the women's competition was the red-black Daniele Hypolito, who took the bronze medal with 54.300 points (14.300 / 13.350 / 13.000 / 13.650). Jade Barbosa, another star of the red-black gymnastics, took fourth place, with 53.600 points (14.750 / 11.400 / 14.200 / 13.250).

Champion Rebeca Andrade celebrated her title and spoke about the joy of competing alongside her teammates Daniele and Jade.

"I really wanted to win the Brazil Trophy. But I never thought I'd win gold competing alongside Daniele and Jade, because they're so good. Being with them every day only helps me, and seeing them both cheering me on too. I'm very happy and hope for more good results over time."

In the Men's Brazil Trophy, Flamengo athlete Pétrix Barbosa reached the highest place on the podium and won the gold medal in the competition, with a score of 85.600 (14.450 on floor, 13.500 on horse, 13.300 on rings, 15.700 on vault, 14.000 on parallel bars and 14.650 on horizontal bar). Also competing for Flamengo, Caio Campos finished the competition in fourth place with 83.400 points. Henrique Motta finished twenty-first (66.650) and Sergio Sasaki in twenty-third (57.200).
