The Flamengo gymnasts who competed in the Pan American Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Medellín, Colombia, returned with extra baggage. Daniele Hypolito, Petrix Barbosa, and Sergio Sasaki won medals in their finals, helping Brazil secure the silver medal in the competition.

Daniele Hypolito excelled on the balance beam, scoring 14,500 and winning the gold medal on the apparatus, one of her specialties. Brazil finished second on the podium, with Daniele in first place and Adrian Gomes in second (13,925). Chile's Simona Castro finished third (12,800).

With a score of 13,825, Dani also secured first place on floor exercise. Silver went to Colombian Bibiana Velez (13,425) and Chilean Bárbara Achondo, who achieved the same score.

In the men's event, Flamengo's Sérgio Sasaki won two silver medals, one on the parallel bars (14,750) and the other on the horizontal bar, with 14.725. In addition to Sasaki, Flamengo had Petrix Barbosa, who took bronze on the vault with a score of 15,100. The gold went to Puerto Rican Angel Ramos (15,513) and the silver went to Chilean Juan Gonzalez (15,400).

Brazil concluded its participation in the Pan-American Artistic Gymnastics Championship, this Sunday (24), and secured ten more medals.
