During preparations for the Gymnastics World Cup in Ljubljana, Slovenia, coach Keli Kitaura commented on Rebeca Andrade's recovery from surgery. "Rebeca only competes on the parallel bar and is much better from the surgery. Almost 100% recovered," she stated. Both are representing Flamengo in the competition, as is 17-year-old gymnast Julie Kim Sinmon. She competes on the balance beam and floor exercise. The tournament takes place next weekend (March 3-5).

"It's Julie and Rebeca's first time at the World Cup, and they're really excited. We hope to qualify for the finals and do a good job!" they declared. The duo's goal is to prepare for the year's biggest events: the Pan American Games and the World Cup. Once in Europe, the girls will compete at Sportni Park Tivoli and are already settling into the city. They left for Brazil last Friday (March 27th).
